The Day the Devils Dropped In! – 1944 Normandy Battlefield Tour  – based on his renown book , Neil Barber takes us through the actions of the 6th Airborne Division on the night of 5/6th June 1944 D-Day and the crucial 8 days afterwards. During this four day tour : We will see the ground that the combat actions took place over; at Pegasus Bridge (Ox & Bucks), the Benouville defence, Lord Lovat’s Commando’s  arrival and the defence of the Bridge perimeter. Later in the tour we visit  the 6th  Airborne Museum and the DZ at Ranville. Day Two looks in detail at the Varaville – 1st Canadian Para action at the crossroads. Then we move to the attack by 9th Battalion, the Parachute Regiment’s assault on the Merville Battery led by Lt Col T Otway.
